As part of a nation-wide move to show solidarity to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the students of University College of Bahrain joined hands with the citizens of Bahrain on Thursday, April 30th 2010. The initiative was a token of gratitude to Saudi Arabia, led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his people for standing by Bahrain during the recent unrest.
The students marked the Green day by adorning the campus with the national flags of the 2 kingdoms and posters of its leaders. They also made and distributed traditional Bahraini food to commemorate the occasion. Scarves and badges depicting the colors and leaders of the countries were worn by the students. A stand-up canvas was also set up for students, faculty and staff to sign in their messages of love and admiration for Bahrain and KSA.
