A Dedicated Week To Entrepreneurship

As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, University College of Bahrain partnering with YAL was proud to organize an in-house guest talk by the 2 well known Bahrain Entrepreneurs Mr. Khalid Al Qoud and Mr. Ali Al Saad on 14-11-2012,Wednesday from 12 to 1 PM. Global Entrepreneurship Week is an initiative to inspire young people to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity. In other words, is a movement around a new generation unleashing their ideas to seek out better ways of doing things. Through developing young people’s knowledge, skills and networks, they can grow innovative, sustainable enterprises, having a positive impact on their lives, their families and communities.

As far as UCB is concerned, Global Entrepreneurship Week is a week full of activities that involve introduction of entrepreneurship to young people, help them network with existing entrepreneurs & organizations and have such entrepreneurs mentor the next generation of talent.

To mention about the talk, Mr. Ali Al Saad entrusted on various instances of day today life so as to convey the importance of job appraisal, leadership, work satisfaction and employer- employee relation. He unfolded experiences on how he started his businesses and how to be a leader. According to Mr. Khalid Al Qoud, entrepreneurship was all about having a strong tenacity on one’s own ambitions and admirations of life. The speaker revealed his own success story in order to prove the point. The talk turned out to be very inspiring and beneficial for the students as well the lecturers.

Sheikh Ali Al Khalifa, the Director of Continuous Improvement & Development presented UCB memento to appreciate the Speakers. The session was open to all students, faculty members and the staff of UCB.
