On the 20th of February 2013, students and faculty of the Graphic Design Department visited the Stamps Exhibition in Manama. Senior lecturer, Ms. Lillian Hallak, took almost 10 students from the GRD 203 class to the 9th Stamps, Currencies and Documents Exhibition organized by the Bahrain Philatelic Society.
The main purpose of the exhibition visit was to observe and analyze the original stamps of the Kingdom of Bahrain and compare it with other countries. Students took advantage of the exhibition which opened its doors to gain a practical experience, which will in turn help them for their theoretical project they are working on.
“As far as the students were concerned, it was a rare experience for them to have an insight into the Kingdom’s history, civilization and development over the years through the displayed stamps, said Sh. Ebrahim Al Khalifa, the Executive Director of Administration & Finance.
