Under the patronage of Sh. Khalid Al Khalifa, University College of Bahrain organized its first annual Technology Week from 17th -21st March, 2013 to help the students as well as the staff to keep in pace with the latest technological advancements in our world today.
The Technology week featured a number of technologically related activities in the UCB campus including Adoption of Google Apps, Training for new IT solutions and an ongoing technology exhibition. UCB also launched Grammarly to all the Faculty and Students which would cater to their linguistic requirements. This would enable faculty in assessing the students’ course work as well as providing them with a tool to improve their writing skills.
UCB invited mainstream vendors including Bin Hindi (Samsung), Zain, Viva and Kanoo IT who provided the UCB Students and Staff with their unique gadgets with special offer deals. Each of the vendors set up their own presence at the Janabiya Hall to exhibit and demonstrate their gadgets and services. The Students and Staff were provided with special offers exclusively designed for the event.
