University College of Bahrain (UCB) has successfully conducted the Ninth Commencement ceremony of its 2013 Graduates on 2nd June 2013, at Ritz-Carlton, Hotel & Spa, Bahrain. The historical graduation ceremony was attended by higher officials invited from the Ministry of Education, University board members, guests of honor, family of graduates, the university community, representatives from the media and many others.
The key note speech of the graduation ceremony was performed by the UCB Chairman and Founder, Shaikh Dr. Khalid Al Khalifa and the guest of honor, Dr. Allan Ray Cahoon, President and Vice- Chancellor of Royal Roads University, Canada. After congratulating the 67 Graduates from the Business Administration, the IT and Communication & Multimedia programs. Dr. Khalid spoke about the quality and value based education offered at UCB and also expressed his joy for being able to contribute to the production of skilled graduates to play greater roles in the community and national development. "Today you leave the nest that has sheltered you for the last 4 years to join the real world, I would expect each one of you to be an ambassador of UCB and be assured that you belong to a special breed of graduates, UCB graduates. Live into your potential to transform businesses and your communities. Be always proud of yourself, you deserve it. “he added.
The graduating student representatives Ateyatalla bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and Hind Isam Al Dugaither from Management and Multimedia programs respectively, shared their experiences of having their dreams officially realized through UCB on the occasion and said,
“So for you all to guarantee your success, have your faith in God then your hard work will make you achieve all your goals and dreams. Tend to motivate others. Believe in yourself and aim for the best, not the better. From the bottom of my heart, I wish the best of luck for you all and the perfect future you each dream of it differently from the other”.
Finally, the degree certificates were conferred to the 67 proud UCB Graduates by the University Chairman, Dr. Khalid Al Khalifa. The ceremony also featured speeches from the Deans of Business Administration, IT and Communication & Multimedia programs. The official ceremony concluded with the National Anthem and the recessional followed.
