FAA IFPQS Verification and Endorsement Feedback

On 24th May 2017, Dr. Sutan Emir Hidayat, Head of Business Administration and Humanities Department was invited to attend a meeting to give his feedback on the draft of Islamic Finance Program Qualification Structure (IFPQS) proposed by Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA).

The meeting was held at the University of Wollongong in Dubai, UAE attended by academicians and industry practitioners from all over the world. The IFPQS is divided into 4 model knowledge references namely, Takaful, Islamic Capital Market, Islamic Banking, and Islamic Financial Planning and Wealth Management. The IFPQS is expected to serve as a platform to structure an Islamic finance program within higher learning institutions.

During the meeting, Dr. Hidayat shared his view and appreciated FAA's efforts in providing the framework for Islamic Finance Education.
