During his workshops, Drake collaborated with students from diverse backgrounds to explore concepts of identity and perspectives of themselves. The objectives of the workshop included promoting a richer understanding of Muslims and Islamic culture in America, building bridges between the United States and Bahrain, and deepening friendships in and across cultures.
“This workshop proved to be a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their ideas with a worldwide photographer and explore deeper concepts of photography”, commented Ms. Lillian Hallak, Senior Lecturer, graphic Design department. A group of students attended the workshop in addition to the Graphic Design faculty members Sarah Gassoub, Haifa Yaseen, and Lilian Hallak.
