The University College of Bahrain proudly held its 12th Commencement ceremony for its 2016 graduates, on Wednesday 26th October at the Ritz Carlton hotel and Spa. The ceremony was held under the Patronage of the Chairman and Founder, Dr. Shaikh Khalid Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
A very successful year culminated in 102 graduates including 63 students from Business Administration, 21 from Communications and Multimedia, 2 from Information Technology and 16 MBA Postgraduate students.
The ceremony featured a keynote address by UCB President, Professor Salah Emara who congratulated the students on reaching this important milestone in their lives. “You should all be extremely proud of yourselves for achieving this important goal” said Professor Emara. This was followed by a speech from a graduate, Jannah Abdullatif, who shared her experience of having her ambitions fulfilled through her education at UCB; “UCB ensures that its graduates become the bright future of Bahrain.” This was followed by a speech Reem Al Doy, another graduate representative of Dr. Khalid Al Khalifa's Scholarship program, who has benefited from UCB’s generous Scholarship Scheme. She stressed how her time at UCB had broadened her Horizons and given her the confidence and strength to step into the unknown. Both students expressed their deep gratitude to the Chairman, Dr Shaikh Khalid Al Khalifa and all the staff at UCB for their continuous care and support.
The Degrees were conferred on the graduates by the President.
The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem and a reception.
