As part of Traffic Week celebrations in Bahrain, UCB in association with AJM Kooheji conducted a one day awareness session on Road and Vehicle safety for the students and staff on March 18, 2014.
A bike and tyre display was set up inside the campus, where all the interested students were offered free test rides. Apart from the outdoor session, a special talk was also held by professional bike rider from the Bahrain Motorcycle Club. The talk highlighted the importance of staying safe on road by abiding by the rules. The lecture also showcased a number of videos and power point presentations which reflected the after effects of over speeding, carelessness, use of mobile phones and violating traffic rules on road.
‘With the rapid growth in the production and demand of vehicles, it is necessary to create awareness and spread safety guidelines and set up effective plans to address current traffic issues. UCB appreciates AJM Kooheji’s social commitment and deep concern for the society’, commented Sh. Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Executive Director, Strategy & Resources, UCB.
