BUMUN is a representation and simulation of the United Nations’ debates and meetings. Students from different universities across Bahrain have the opportunity to meet with their peers and discuss the challenges faced by the world today. These are challenges in different fields such as international peace and security, economic and social development and human rights. The program aims to consolidate the idea that constructive dialogue today can achieve good solutions tomorrow. This year, two students from the Student Council Mr. Theodore Hogben and Ms. Dareen Arar participated in the BUMUN. Both students reported that the program helped to:

o  Strengthen leadership skills and provided public speaking and negotiation skills.

o  Raise youth awareness on current international issues.

o  To accept other’s opinions and differences.

o  Provide students with the skills of scientific research and encouraged them to be creative.
