As a continuous part of learning, UCB organizes educational/cultural exchanges and invites speakers to do workshops and inspirational talks to students in related fields.

In collaboration with The United States Embassy, Bahrain, UCB invited Mr. Rinzi Ruiz for a Workshop on Photography at UCB campus.

Mr. Rinzi Ruiz is a Los Angeles based freelance photographer. His work has been featured in the Los Angeles Times So Cal Moments, the Think Tank Gallery YOU ARE HERE Exhibit, at the Hatakeyama Gallery Street Photography Exhibit and his first solo exhibit, Street Zen, at the Perfect Exposure Gallery. His work also includes portraits, landscapes, urban landscapes, events and weddings.

He shoots the streets as often as possible and is familiar with the different areas in Downtown Los Angeles. Mr. Rinzi's street photography style combines light and shadows and graphic elements to portraits of interesting characters he meets along the way.

He shared his experiences, taught students’ different aspects of photography. The students of the Photography class along with other students & staff interested in the topic attended the workshop and asked various questions at the end of the session.

Prof Salah Emara, President, UCB, presented Mr. Ruiz with a UCB shield as a memento, which he delightfully accepted.
