Admission Requirements
Admission
to the MBA program is open to qualified individuals who meet the following
requirements:
- All applicants to the University College of
Bahrain must submit a completed application form a long with all the
required documents to the Admission unit at the University registrar’s
Office.
- Applicants
should hold a Bachelors’ Degree from a recognized university or
institution of higher education with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.00 (or
not less than ‘Good’). Any applicant whose CGPA is less than 2.50 might
get a Conditional Acceptance.
- Applicants must provide
official transcripts from their prior University of Institution of Higher
Education.
- If Applicants do
not have a relevant and formal business or management degree background
they should provide evidence of a minimum of 3 years’ work experience (or
equivalent evidence) in a managerial, professional or technical role.
- Applicants must
provide official transcripts from prior post-secondary institutions.
Applicants should normally have a minimum of three years’ work experience
in a managerial, professional or technical role if they do not have a
relevant and formal business or management degree background.
- Applicants
should provide proof of proficiency in English (IELTS with a score of 5.5
or more) to start first year and avoid foundation programme. Applicants
will be exempted from proof of English proficiency if his/her first
language is English, lived in country where English is first language,
graduated, transferring from other recognized universities or secondary
schools where English is the medium of instruction.
- Applicants must
provide two letters of recommendations from current or former employers.
- Applicants must
provide a detailed resume, including formal education requirements, work
experience, extra-curricular activities and community service activities.
- Applicants must
provide a written statement of purpose of why they want and intend to
study a graduate level Masters’ of Business Administration
- Applicants must
have a Medical Examination Certificate from a recognized health center or
hospital in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
- All
applicants will be notified of their acceptance or rejection in writing
from the University. Those who were not selected may discuss alternatives
available to them with the Admission unit at the University’s Registrar’s
Office.
The
MBA Admission Decision Process is based on two cohort start dates of September
and January. The MBA Admission Committee meets twice per annum to
consider all MBA candidate applications.
Deadline
for application is sixty days prior to the cohort start date in September and
January and offer letters are sent thirty days prior to the cohort start date.
