The webinar “The Role of 5G in IOT” will be held on 1st of March from 12 pm to 1pm Bahrain time. The speaker will be Dr Bilel Jamoussi- Chief of the Study Groups Department at the International Telecommunication Union Standardization Bureau in Geneva Switzerland. The webinar will explain how the ITU is bringing together governments, industry, international organizations and academia to develop consensus based international standards for 5G and IoT, and in particular, how this work is shaping smart cities. The webinar will also explore how 5G will support IoT applications across various industry sectors.
The program offers an interdisciplinary curriculum focusing on information technology, and business administration, the resulting program is unique in that it merges traditional academic topics with leading edge and current IT practices and technology.

The program curriculum is regularly evaluated by the program and curriculum committee of the department to ensure the quality and suitability of the skills and knowledge for the market needs.
